The Malaysian qualifiers for the upcoming 2017 ESL One Genting Dota 2 tournament is beginning this weekend. Surprisingly, Digi has not only announced that they are the official sponsors for the tournament, but they will also go on to sponsor the victor of the local qualifier stage.
The sponsorship is to help the team prepare themselves before going up against some of the world’s best professional Dota 2 teams, including local favourites Team Fnatic, TI6 champion Wings Gaming, TI6 runner up Digital Chaos, Virtus Pro, NP Gaming, and Team Execration.
With the prize pool of USD$ 250,000, ESL One Genting Dota 2 is set to be one of the biggest eSports tournament held in Malaysia. The grand finals of the tournament will commence from the 6th to the 8th of January 2017.
Those who are interested in attending the tournament but couldn’t secure tickets, can follow the Dota 2 action right from YouTube Gaming, Tonton, or Twitch.
