If you happen to be a HTC 10 user, good news: the Android 7.0 Nougat update will start rolling out to your device soon. With this announcement, the HTC 10 will be one of the first few devices to be updated to the latest version of Android in Malaysia.
This information came from none other than Mo Versi, the Vice President of Product Management at HTC. According to a post he wrote on Twitter, “HTC 10 unlocked owners will receive Nougat OS update tomorrow morning.”
Happy Thanksgiving! HTC 10 unlocked owners will receive Nougat OS update tomorrow morning! Enjoy!

Unfortunately, it wasn’t mentioned if the update is region-specific, although it’s worth mentioning that every HTC 10 sold on our shores is unlocked. Keeping this in mind, all HTC 10 users in Malaysia – provided they have an official unit – may be getting the update soon.
Regardless, once the update starts rolling out in Malaysia, the HTC 10 will be the first few devices locally to run on Android 7.0 Nougat. The other device in Malaysia that’s currently running on the latest version of Android is none other than the Huawei Mate 9. Of course, there’s also the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X.
Hopefully, HTC 10 users in Malaysia will be getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update tomorrow morning. We imagine the new Nougat features – such as split-screen mode and redesigned notification panel – will prove to be useful.
