Pokemon Go is celebrating the American Thanksgiving day, and is offering double XP and Stardust for a week. The celebration takes place from 23 to 30 November, and comes shortly after some gameplay adjustments that will affect the combat stats of just about every Pokemon currently in the game.
The rebalanced stats come from a server side adjustment that sees the CP of all Pokemon altered. Players should have noticed that more than a few numbers have been moving around, with some of the top tier Pokemon receiving nerfs; while less popular choices were made stronger. A complete list of changes has been compiled by the people over at The Silph Road.
In theory, this change should shake up the competitive aspect of the game; although the lack of PVP means that this is slightly less interesting. It probably doesn’t help that the recent adjustments to gyms also makes them extremely difficult to hold on to.
Finally, data miners have discovered that Ditto could be released soon. The morphing Pokemon’s stats have been hidden in the game for a long time now, and it has now been updated with its signature move: Transform. Being assigned a move is a sure sign that the Pokemon is ready for release, with players now wondering if Ditto is already secretly hidden in the wild.
