On average, the Malaysian national football team changes its jersey every two years since decades ago. With the team’s AFF Suzuki Cup 2016 campaign is scheduled to kick off this weekend, the time has come once again for the team to receive its new set of kit from Nike and it certainly looked rather different from previous kit.
For the first time since Nike begin supplying jerseys to Harimau Malaysia nine years ago, the new home jersey no longer features the well-known stripe design. Additionally, the jersey now comes with black base with yellow detailing which is generally the opposite of the traditional Harimau Malaysia colorway.
As for the new away jersey, it is also the opposite of previous away jersey with new white base and blue detailing on its side. As one can expect from Nike, both new Harimau Malaysia jerseys are made from the latest iteration of the company’s Dri-Fit material which them more lightweight, and comfortable than previous jerseys.
In terms of availability, fans everywhere are able to get their hands on the new starting from tomorrow onwards for RM 289 at Al-Ikhsan stores nationwide.
