Xiaomi has announced an official Mi Store in the popular Malaysian e-commerce site, Lazada. First spotted during the 11.11 Singles Day sales last week, the company has now populated its online store with its range of smartphones, accessories, and two new products.
The two new products are the Mi Capsule earphones and the hotly-anticipated Mi Band 2 fitness wearable. There is actually a third new item, the Mi Power Bank Pro, but it went on sale last week during the 11.11 promotion.
However, the retail prices of the new products indicate a sign of the times: the Mi Capsule earphones retail for RM69 while the Mi Band 2 goes for RM129 – in China, they are sold for 69 Yuan (about RM44) and 149 Yuan (about RM94), respectively. At the time of writing, 1 Malaysian Ringgit converts to 1.58 Yuan.
On the other hand, those who have been waiting for Xiaomi’s range of accessories can now get them easily from the Mi Store in Lazada. The popular USB LED light and USB fans are back (RM19 and RM15 respectively), as are the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank (RM69 for Silver, RM79 for Gold or Red). The Mi Band Pulse also makes a return, going for RM79 each.
Mi smartphones will also be available, including the Mi 4i, the Mi Max, the Redmi Note 3, and the Redmi 3S. Special bundle deals are also available via the new store.
The Mi Store in Lazada will officially open this Friday, 18 November 2016 from 12pm onwards. While the store link is already live, it is likely that the time above will be when the full list of products are listed.
