After its official announcement earlier this month, Huawei Malaysia has just told us that that the Huawei Mate 9 will be available for pre-order tomorrow on the 15th of November 2016. Along with this announcement, the official retail price of the Mate 9 has been revealed as well.
As Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone, the Mate 9 is a well-equipped device. It features a 5.9-inch 1080p IPS display, the company’s new HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, a rear fingerprint sensor, as well as a generous 4,000mAh battery.
In the camera department, the Mate 9 has a Leica-certified dual-camera system, which consists of a 20MP monochrome sensor paired with a 12MP RGB shooter. Unlike the Huawei P9, the Mate 9’s rear camera actually has optical image stabilisation along with phase detection and laser autofocus. The front-facing shooter, on the other hand, is a more conventional 8MP snapper.
The Huawei Mate 9 will be available for pre-order tomorrow on both Vmall.my and Lazada for RM2,699. According to Huawei Malaysia, the first 10 customers to place their order will receive a foldable Bluetooth keyboard worth RM499. For the Malaysian market, two colours of the Mate 9 will be sold: Mocha Brown and Champagne Gold. The Mate 9 will officially go on sale on 22 November 2016 in Malaysia.
