It has been a long time since a proper flagship from Meizu was launched in Malaysia, and the Meizu MX6 is here to change that. Officially available on our shores not too long ago, the MX6 is a very competitively priced flagship smartphone.
As one of Meizu’s several new flagship smartphones this year, the MX6 is a decently equipped device. It’s packing a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, as well as a 3,060mAh battery with support for fast charging. Unfortunately, the MX6 does not come with a microSD card slot; users will have to make do with the device’s native 32GB storage.
In the camera department, the MX6 features a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor with phase detection autofocus – which the company claims is equivalent in terms of speed to the S7 duo’s excellent dual-pixel camera – as well as a 5MP front-facing shooter. Rounding out the MX6’s specifications are an all-metal body, a fingerprint sensor, as well as Meizu’s Flyme OS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
If you’re keen to get your hands on one of the most affordable flagship smartphones in Malaysia, the Meizu MX6 is now available for purchase locally for RM1,299. Considering the fact that the MX6 goes for only 1,999 Chinese yuan (about RM1,260) in China, this is a very compelling price tag.
