Since two years ago, SNS Network has released plenty of Intel-powered devices under its in-house brand called JOI including tablets, PC stick, NUC boxes, and smartphone. Soon, the company will add yet another new device into its line-up in the form of JOI 12 2-in-1 laptop.
Prior to this, most of JOI products are powered by Intel Atom processors but not for the Windows 10-based JOI 12 though. This time, SNS has choose to equip the new product with an Intel Core chip – specifically, the Core m3-6Y30 processor. JOI 12 is the third product in the family to be powered by an Intel Core chip after JOI Box 5000 and Medusa 7000 which are essentially Intel NUC boxes.
With a thickness of 9.2mm, the 0.97kg JOI 12 is also equipped with a 12.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1200) display alongside 4GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage. Comes standard with a Surface-like detachable magnetic keyboard, the device also features USB 3.0 and USB Type-C port alongside a built-in 5,000 mAh battery.
As for availability, SNS Network didn’t specifically mention on when it will release product to the market although a recent teaser shows that JOI 12 is likely to be launched on 15 November 2016. The 2-in-1 device will carry a price tag of RM 2,399 once it is made available at retail stores soon.
