The OnePlus 3 is an excellent value for money flagship smartphone, and just five months after its official launch, it appears a new variant of device will be introduced soon. Not surprisingly, the new device will supposedly be packing a faster Snapdragon 821 processor.
Rumored to be dubbed the OnePlus 3T, both Qualcomm and OnePlus have started teasing the device – both companies are also saying that the upcoming phone will feature the latest Snapdragon 821 processor, which is slightly faster than the current Snapdragon 820 chipset in the OnePlus 3. According to OnePlus, there’s a good chance it’s the higher clocked variant of the Snapdragon 821 too; the very same one used in the very speedy Xiaomi Mi Mix.

As far as other specifications go, only the processor of the new OnePlus device has been officially mentioned. If we were to go by rumours, the alleged OnePlus 3T is said to also feature a slightly bigger battery, an LCD display – instead of the OnePlus 3’s Optic AMOLED display – as well as double the internal storage of the OnePlus 3 at 128GB.
It’s certainly interesting that OnePlus will be unveiling a new variant of the OnePlus 3 in such a short period of time; we can’t help but to wonder if current OnePlus 3 owners will be thrilled by this introduction too. Regardless, OnePlus is set to unveil the new device next week on 15 November 2016.
