Lenovo Malaysia has padded its mobile workstation lineup with the introduction of the new ThinkPad P40 Yoga mobile workstation. Featuring Nvidia Quadro graphics and the ubiquitous Yoga hinge, the ThinkPad P40 Yoga is also the world’s lightest ISV certified mobile workstation.
At just 1.8kg, the ThinkPad P40 Yoga packs an impressive set of hardware, while still passing mil-spec tests. Running on an Intel Core i7-6600U processor with up to 16GB of RAM, the laptop also features an Nvidia Quadro M500M GPU with 2GB VRAM. It’s also got a 14-inch Full HD IPS display (with an optional upgrade to a WQHD touch panel), which supports Wacom’s Active ES technology that works in tandem with the included ThinkPad Pen Pro with 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity.
Despite the compact chassis, the ThinkPad P40 Yoga also has a generous set of I/O connectivity. There are 3 USB 3.0 ports, HDMI port, mini DisplayPort, headphone/mic combo jack, SD card reader, and a micro SIM slot for on-the-go Internet connectivity. And, just like the consumer level ThinkPad X1 Yoga, the ThinkPad P40 Yoga has the Lift ‘n Lock keyboard as well.
Alongside the ThinkPad P40 Yoga, Lenovo Malaysia also unveiled the entry-level ThinkStation P410 desktop workstation. Aimed at creative professionals on a budget, the P410 is powered by an Intel Xeon E5 processor. There’s also support for up to a massive 128GB of DDR4 RAM and storage options that include two internal storage bays and two PCIe bays.
The Lenovo ThinkPad P40 Yoga mobile workstation and ThinkStation P410 workstation are now available in Malaysia, retailing for RM5,999 and RM4,999 respectively.
