It was only back in July this year when the vivo X7 and X7 Plus were officially unveiled, but the Chinese company is more than eager to launch two new successors to these smartphones. Dubbed the X9 and X9 Plus, vivo is teasing that both of these devices will feature a front-facing dual-camera setup.
That’s right. Unlike most phone makers, vivo will implement a dual-camera setup on the front of the X9 and X9 Plus instead of the rear. Of course, vivo isn’t exactly the first company to do so: both LG and Lenovo have done so with the LG V10 and Lenovo Vibe S1.
According to vivo’s teaser of the X9 and X9 Plus, the dual-camera system of these two devices consists of a 20MP sensor and an 8MP shooter. Beyond this information, the company did not elaborate further; it’ll be interesting to see how vivo plans to take advantage of the dual-camera system, especially as front-facing cameras.
Naturally, the specifications of the vivo X9 and X9 Plus have not been revealed yet. According to rumours, however, these two devices will be packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, 4GB or 6GB of RAM, as well as 64GB of internal storage. All will be revealed come 17 November, when the vivo X9 and X9 Plus are officially announced.
