Samsung recently announced a new colour for the Galaxy S7 edge, and it’s now available right here in Malaysia. Interestingly, despite this being a relatively new variant, the Blue Coral Galaxy S7 edge retails at the same price as the standard model.
Those who have kept a close eye on Samsung – more specifically, the Galaxy Note 7 – will realise that the Blue Coral colour first made its debut on the now-discontinued Note 7. Even though the Note 7 fiasco was an unfortunate one, it’s great to see that Samsung is bringing the new colour to its other flagship device.
Aside from the new colour, the Coral Blue Galaxy S7 edge has the same internals as the standard model. It still features a 5.5-inch dual-curved 1440p Super AMOLED display, a capable Exynos 8890 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 32GB of internal storage – expandable with a microSD card up to 200GB – as well as a generous 3,600mAh battery and an IP68-rated body. In the camera department, the S7 edge has an excellent 12MP dual-pixel camera with optical image stabilisation and a 5MP front-facing shooter.
If you’re keen to get your hands on the new Coral Blue Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, we found a listing for the device on Lazada. According to the listing, the Coral Blue S7 edge comes with an additional one-year extended warranty – worth RM199 – along with a Samsung Clear View Flip Cover worth RM269.
