One of the world’s most iconic shooters, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare, is going to be rereleased on PC with better graphics in just a few days. Interestingly, the folks at Activision have released the minimum system requirements needed for one to run the game on PC at the bare minimum settings – surprisingly, it doesn’t take much.
For starters, the operating systems required for one to be able to run Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is either Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10. When it comes to processors, one should at least have either an Intel Core i3-530 CPU or an AMD Phenom II X4 810 CPU.
In addition, it’s required that one should have a minimum RAM capacity of 6GB to be able to run the game smoothly. Besides that, Activision also recommends PC gamers to have at the very least, an Nvidia GTS 450 or an ATI Radeon HD 7850 graphics card. In contrast, the old Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare game required an Nvidia GeForce 6600 or an ATI Radeon 9800 graphics card.
It looks like MW Remastered only adds sharper graphics or higher resolutions for modern systems. It could conceivably include better textures as well. That being said, the relatively light graphics requirements hint at a bare bones upgrade over the original game.
Finally, storage-wise, one needs to make sure that there is at minimum, 55GB of free space available on their system’s hard disk for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered – the older game merely required 8GB.
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is slated for release for the PC on 8 November. The full list of minimum required specifications for the game can be found here.
