In order to fulfill demands from users, Microsoft has officially announced a brand new performance-oriented model for Surface Book during its Windows 10 event in New York last night alongside Surface Studio. Officially called as Surface Book with Performance Base, this particular model has been beefed up with new graphics and larger battery.
Specifically, the new Surface Book with Performance Base carries an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M GPU with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM. At the same time, the new battery provides the 2-in-1 laptop with up to 16 hours of battery life as opposed to 12 hours on the original Surface Book.

Despite the additional graphics firepower and battery capacity, Surface Book with Performance Base is only 153 grams heavier than the original Surface Book. Apart from all the information that we have mentioned so far, the remaining aspects of Surface Book with Performance Base remains unchanged.
While the processor option for this particular Surface Book model is limited to the sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor, it can be obtained with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB storage. Available in US this November, the new Surface Book with Performance Base price tag ranges from USD 2,399 (about RM 9,983) to USD 3,299 (about RM 13,728) depending on specifications chosen by customers.
