Biostar has announced two brand new additions to its Pascal-based graphics cards family called the Dual Fan GTX 1060. Interestingly, not only does Biostar’s new graphics cards carry the same name, but are also similar in most of their specifications – the only difference being their VRAM capacity (3GB and 6GB).
When it comes to design, the Biostar Dual Fan GTX 1060 does impress. It comes with a uniquely designed – apparently inspired from World Of Tanks – cooler shroud that definitely demands attention. In addition to the ‘tank-like’ looking cooler shroud, both graphics cards also feature two open-air cooling fans which Biostar aptly named as ‘Tank Dual Fan’.
Design aside, the Dual Fan GTX 1060 by Biostar comes with respectable specifications. Both the 3GB and 6GB variants of the graphics card feature base and boost GPU clock speeds of 1506MHZ and 1708MHz respectively. Besides that, the 3GB variant has a CUDA core count of 1152, while the 6GB version comes with 1280.
Connectivity-wise, both Dual Fan GTX 1060 variants are equipped with two DVI ports; along with one HDMI and DisplayPort ports each. Power is delivered through a single 6-pin power connector. Speaking of which, Biostar mentioned that the 6GB variant has a TDP rating of 120W, while the 3GB variant is rated at 115W.
According to Biostar, the Dual Fan GTX 1060 graphics card will be priced at US$239 (about RM996) for the 3GB version, while the 6GB variant will be priced at US$289 (around RM1,204).
