Pokemon Go has announced it’s first All Hallow’s Eve event, and it may work out for players who are looking to finally get their Gengar. Taking place from 26 October until 1 November, there will be an increased spawn rate for certain Halloween themed Pokemon.
Seven types of Pokemon will become more common over the event, with these being Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Zubat, Golbat, Drowzee, and Hypno. Some may argue that Zubat is already more common than it needs to be, and an increased spawn for these flying nuisances is not a good thing.
The other bonus available is the doubling of candy drops for catching, hatching, and transferring Pokemon. Which should make it easier to collect enough candy to evolve or power up that perfect IV Pokemon you’ve been saving. Although Stardust may still be an issue.
Finally, the buddy system is also benefiting from the Halloween promotion. Buddies will generate four times as many candies during this time period. It may be an incentive to walk more with the rarer Pokemon like Snorlax or Dragonite to gain additional candies.
