When Razer posted up its “Unveil The Shadow” teaser last week, many thought that it will be unleashing a brand new gaming monitor or a gaming desktop. However, neither predictions were correct though as the new product that Razer has actually unveiled earlier today is the new iteration of the company’s Blade Pro gaming laptop.
Built with 17.3-inch IGZO 4K touch display that also supports NVIDIA G-Sync technology and has 100% Adobe RGB color gamut, the 2016 Blade Pro is running on an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor as well as NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 8GB graphics card. It also comes standard with 32GB dual-channel DDR4-2133 memory.
The laptop is also equipped with two PCIe-based solid state drive in RAID 0 mode with total storage of up to 2TB. Razer also stated that the 2016 Blade Pro features an all-new thermal management system that include among the world’s thinnest vapor chamber as well as custom fan design and dynamic heat exchangers.
Another highlight of the laptop is its ultra-low-profile mechanical keyboard which was likely adapted from the mechanical keyboard case that Razer has release for Apple iPad Pro earlier this year. Of course, the keyboard features Razer Chroma customizable RGB backlighting as well.
With so much firepower under the hood, it is not surprising that Razer is dare enough to call the 2016 Blade Pro as a gaming desktop in a laptop. Naturally, this also equals to a rather hefty starting price tag of USD 3,699 (about RM 15,462) once the laptop is released in US and Europe this November.
