Samsung’s latest Android tablet, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen, is now in Malaysia. Initially registered with SIRIM just last month, this variant of the tablet is now sold locally alongside the 7-inch model, which was launched back in May this year.
In comparison to the 7-inch variant, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen has several neat features. As its name suggests, this 10.1-inch tablet comes with an S Pen, which shares the same features as the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7. Other than that, this tablet also has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage; it’s further expandable with a microSD card up to 256GB.
Other specifications of the 2016 Galaxy Tab A include a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS display, an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, 8MP rear and 2MP front-facing cameras, as well as a 7,300mAh battery. For the Malaysian market, this tablet comes with a nanoSIM card slot; naturally, it supports LTE connectivity as well.
According to Samsung Malaysia, the Galaxy Tab A (2016) with S Pen is now available locally for RM1,599. While it’s not exactly an affordable device, it’s certainly an interesting tablet, especially for those who adore the many features of the Galaxy Note 7’s S Pen.
