Last month, there were rumours that Apple will announce new MacBook Pro devices this month. More than half of the month has already past, there are still no invitations, will the event still be happening? According to the latest rumours, yes. Recode reports that Apple will host an event later this month in its campus to announce new Mac devices.
Sources from Recode recently confirmed that Apple is planning to introduce new Mac devices at a 27 October 2016 event, just in time for the holiday season. It will be a small-scale event compared to the iPhone 7 launch, and will likely be held at or near Apple’s Cupertino campus rather than in San Francisco, where most Apple events are held.

The Cupertino company is expected to announce new redesigned 13” and 15” MacBook Pro devices that features a new OLED touch strip and Touch ID power button. The company is also reported to ditch conventional ports in favour of USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 ports on its MacBook pro. Apple is also reported to announce a new stand-alone 5K display, refreshed MacBook Air computers with USB-C, and new iMacs with AMD graphics.
