Xiaomi has been releasing quite a number of smartphones this year alone; some might say the Chinese company is introducing a tad too many devices in a short period of time. Regardless, it appears Xiaomi will be unveiling a long overdue successor to the Mi Note soon, aptly named the Mi Note 2. As many leaks have suggested, the upcoming smartphone will indeed come with a dual-curved display.
This confirmation came from none other than Xiaomi itself; a representative of the company revealed that the “Mi Note 2 with double-curved screen is coming on 25th October.” Looking back, the first Mi Note was unveiled way back in January 2015. Seeing how it has taken Xiaomi about one year and nine months to unveil a successor to the Mi Note, there’s a good chance the Mi Note 2 will see a huge improvement.
Aside from a dual-curved display, the Mi Note 2 is also said to be packing the latest and greatest Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 821. If this turns out to be true, the Mi Note 2 will be powered by the same processors found in the Xiaomi Mi 5s and Mi 5s Plus. Other rumoured specifications of the Mi Note 2 include a 5.7-inch 1080p or 1440p display, up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, as well as a 4,000mAh battery.
However, as these are merely rumoured specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 at the moment, take them with a pinch of salt. All will be revealed come 25 October 2016.
