It isn’t all doom and gloom for Samsung, though. Its much-anticipated mobile payment solution, Samsung Pay, is set to go into open beta in Malaysia come 1 November. The system may be ready soon, but what (or who) isn’t yet? We talk about the practical challenges that Samsung Pay faces in Malaysia.
Finally, some of us went out to visit the midnight launches for the iPhone 7 in Malaysia. In an age where e-commerce is now mainstream with next-day deliveries common in many locations, is there still a place for midnight launches? Or is there just something about the iPhone that justifies the excitement?
