Dell’s recently refreshed XPS 13 with Intel’s latest Kaby Lake processors will be arriving in Malaysia very, very soon. Our source has also revealed the local retail prices of the XPS 13‘s various models, and as expected, this premium laptop does not come cheap.
In comparison to its predecessor, not much has changed with the new XPS 13. Well, aside from a newer generation of processors and the introduction of a new colour: Rose Gold. Based on the information we have, however, it appears the Rose Gold model won’t be available in Malaysia. At least, for the time being.
For the Malaysian market, four variants of the XPS 13 will be made available. The base model – which goes for RM5,499 – features a Core i5-7200U processor paired with 8GB of RAM, a 13.3-inch 1080p non-touch display, as well as a 256GB SSD. One tier up is the RM6,399 model, which has similar hardware to the base model, aside from a slightly faster Core i7-7500U processor.
Then there’s the RM6,899 XPS 13, which has similar specifications to the previous model aside from the addition of a much sharper QHD+ 3200 x 1800 touch display. The top-of-the-line XPS 13, on the other hand, has double the RAM and SSD storage at 16GB and 512GB respectively; it also carries a whopping RM7,399 price tag.
According to our source, the new Dell XPS 13 will be available on Dell Malaysia’s online store tomorrow, which is in line with what we were previously told.
