Xiaomi’s plethora of ecosystem partners have released a slew of…interesting products. There was the Mi Robot Vacuum cleaner, the QiCycle Electric Folding Bike – one of the many companies in the Mi Ecosystem even released a simple pen – and now, we have a Bluetooth alarm clock from Xiaomi: the Mi Music Alarm Clock.
As its name suggests, the Mi Music Alarm Clock is…an alarm clock. However, it also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker once connected to a smartphone. Packed with a 2,600mAh battery, the alarm clock can supposedly playback audio for up to 10 hours.
Naturally, the Mi Music Alarm Clock can be configured with Xiaomi’s Mi App. With said app, users can set the alarm time and desired tune to wake up to; music files from the paired smartphone can also be used, which is a given. This alarm clock is also packed with a high quality speaker, which doesn’t buzz or rattle at higher volume.
Even though the Mi Music Alarm Clock is, well, an alarm clock, Xiaomi mentioned that this product can also help users fall asleep. Apparently, the alarm clock plays what GizmoChina refers to as “zhumian music” to help users fall asleep easier; it’ll be interesting to see just how effective this is.
Not surprisingly, the Xiaomi Mi Music Alarm Clock is only available for purchase in China at the moment; it retails at 199 Chinese yuan, which comes up to about RM125. Chances are, this alarm clock won’t be officially available in Malaysia, although we’re sure it’ll make it here one way or another.
