Gaming organisation, ESL has announced that Fnatic is the first out of four teams to receive a direct invite to ESL One Genting 2017. After placing fourth in this year’s Dota 2 The International, the Malaysian based team now has a new lineup that consists of two local players Mushi and Ohaiyo, along with three new additions from professional Filipino Dota 2 Team TNC – Demon, Raven, and Eyyou.
Ticket sales were supposed to begin at 5pm on the 6th of October on Genting’s booking site. However, Genting’s ticketing servers seem to have been overwhelmed by the sheer number of passionate Dota 2 fans trying to buy the tickets at pre-early bird prices.
In response to that, Resorts World Genting has issued an official statement on its Facebook page yesterday confirming that the site was indeed down. Few hours later, Genting posted yet another update saying that while the online purchasing system is being restored, ESL tickets will be on sale at all Genting Box Office counters, as well as at the Resorts World Genting One Hub, which is at Wisma Genting starting today.
For those of you who don’t mind travelling to secure your ESL One Genting 2017 tickets, you can try the above method. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for Resorts World Genting to get the online ticketing system back online.
