Although the BlackBerry DTEK60 has not been officially introduced yet, its full specifications have already been leaked extensively a couple of weeks ago. Interestingly enough, it appears BlackBerry’s latest flagship Android smartphone may be arriving in Malaysia very, very soon as well.
In our usual search in SIRIM’s database, we stumbled upon an interesting device with the model number “BBA100-2” registered under Brightstar Malaysia. A quick Google search eventually led us to this page, which show that the device in question is in fact the yet to be released DTEK60.
As a flagship Android smartphone, the DTEK60 is well-equipped. It features a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, a 21MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus and 4K video recording capability, an 8MP front-facing shooter, as well as a 3,000mAh battery. Not surprisingly, the DTEK60 also has a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor.

However, unlike the BlackBerry Priv, the DTEK60 does not come with a physical keyboard; it is much more similar to the DTEK50 in this respect. After all, its name itself foreshadows this. Hopefully, BlackBerry will officially introduce the DTEK60 in the near future.
