For those of you who are planning to switch to the new Google Pixel smartphones from your iPhone, Google is making the process a breeze for you. The company has a new Quick Switch Adapter that lets you transfer everything from your iPhone to the Pixel including SMS, iMessages, photos, videos, calendar events, and such.
The Quick Switch Adapter allows users to connect their iPhone to the new Pixel. Users are advised to turn off iMessage first before removing the SIM card on the iPhone. Once done, sign into your Google Account, pick all the data you would like to move over, sit back, relax, and let Pixel do the work.
The Quick Switch Adapter supports not only iPhone and iPad devices running on iOS 8 and up, it also works for Nexus 5, 6, 5X, 6P running Android 5.0 and up, as well as most Android devices running Android 5.0 and up.
Plenty of phone manufacturers want to make it seamless for you to switch over from different devices and even different operating systems. Apple has its own Move to iOS app, other phone manufacturers have a similar feature and it’s good to see that Google has its own offering too. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that Google will launch the new Pixel devices here in Malaysia.
