Sharing photos and videos on WhatsApp has gotten a lot more fun. The Facebook-owned company recently introduced a Snapchat-like feature in its app that allow users to write and draw on photos, as well as use emoji to express yourself.
When you capture a photo or video on WhatsApp, or share an existing photo or video, you will now see a new editing tool. Tap on it and you will see a typical collection of editing tools like adding emojis, drawing, and adding text – you can even change the colour and font style of the text.
On top of that, the latest update also brings flash to its front-facing camera. In low light conditions and at night, WhatsApp will brighten your screen up when you capture a selfie. Other updates include a new way to zoom in and out on videos (simply slide your finger up or down), and quickly switch between front and rear cameras by double tapping on the screen.
The update is rolling out on Android phones starting today and will be coming to iPhone soon.
