Razer has just introduced its latest gaming mouse, the DeathAdder Elite. As is the case with Razer products as of late, the company’s latest – and supposedly fastest – gaming mouse can now be pre-ordered in Malaysia; its local retail price has also been revealed.
At first glance, the DeathAdder Elite looks a lot like the standard DeathAdder gaming mouse. However, Razer has fitted the Elite with a brand new 5G optical sensor, which has true 16,000 DPI and “true tracking” at 450 IPS – that stands for inches per second, a measure of how far the mouse can move in a second without it “skipping” any movement.
On top of that, Razer also mentioned that the DeathAdder Elite has a resolution accuracy of 99.4%. This, coupled with its high DPI and IPS, essentially make the DeathAdder Elite “the fastest, most accurate, and most sensitive gaming mouse,” as Razer puts it. Other features of the Elite include the company’s new Mechanical Mouse Switches (co-designed and produced with Omron) as well as Razer’s signature Chroma lighting.
Announced alongside the DeathAdder Elite is a new mouse mat from Razer. Aptly named the Gigantus, this mouse mat is considerably larger than a conventional one; Razer said the Gigantus is ideal for players who play on low sensitivity settings. The Gigantus also features textured cloth finish and a dense foam with rubberised base.
The Razer DeathAdder Elite gaming mouse is now available for pre-order in Malaysia for RM329; it will start shipping from 17 October 2016. The Black Edition of the Gigantus mouse mat, on the other hand, can now be purchased for RM149.90. More information on the DeathAdder Elite and Gigantus can be found on their respective product pages here and here.
