Apple recently released iOS 10.0.2 update for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The update fixes several bugs on iOS 10 including issues with the new Lightning EarPods, Photos app, and more.
Firstly, iOS 10.0.2 addresses issues that causes the new Lightning headphones to momentarily lose playback controls. Previously, there were users complaining that they can’t use the in-line playback controls to adjust the volume, answer calls or use Siri. This issue should be resolved with iOS 10.0.2, and everything should work just like they used to back when there was a 3.5mm audio jack.
In addition to that, the update also resolves an issue that causes Photos to quit when turning on iCloud Photo Library, as well as fixes an issue that prevented enabling some app extensions.
iOS 10.0.2 release notes:
- Addresses an issue that could prevent headphone audio controls from temporarily not working
- Resolves an issue that caused Photos to quit for some users when turning on iCloud Photo Library
- Fixes an issue that prevented enabling some app extensions
The update is a relatively small file, so do connect to Wi-Fi and give your iOS device a quick update. Apple is expected to release iOS 10.1 update in the near future that brings Portrait mode to the iPhone 7 Plus camera, so let’s keep our fingers crossed that by then, we would be able to (officially) get our hands on the new iPhones to test them out.
