The latest expansion from Magic: the Gathering is arriving soon and Magic Duels is trying something never seen before. The game will be introducing virtual card sleeves when Kaladesh is officially launched on 28 September.
These virtual sleeves function in a manner like the various card backs from Hearthstone; allowing players to customise the look of their cards. Of course, unlike Hearthstone, players will be able to acquire them using in-game gold.
Full art lands are also making an appearance in Magic Duels, although we’re not sure how to obtain them yet. Interestingly, the physical full art lands are not part of the Kaladesh set; as they were printed back in the Battle of Zendikar expansion about a year ago.
Aside from the new feature, Kaladesh will also be bringing a new single player campaign to the virtual version of the popular card game. This time, the story follows the Planeswalkers Chandra and Liliana as they journey through the artifact heavy world of Kaladesh.
Kaladesh will be added to Magic Duels on 28 September; with the game being available on PC, iPad, iPhone, and Xbox One.
