#MYCYBERSALE is back again for 2016, and it is better than ever. Last year, this initiative by Multimedia Development Corporation (MDEC) managed to generate RM117.7 million in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV), and with more than 600 merchants participating the online sale this year, #MYCYBERSALE 2016 will be the biggest online sale event yet; it has even been recorded in the Malaysia Book of Records.
MDEC has set a lofty goal for #MYCYBERSALE 2016 as well; the online event is targeted to hit RM200 million in sales, which is almost double of last year’s amount. Among the 600 merchants participating in this year’s online sale are Uniqlo, Giordano, Levi’s, Kinokuniya, as well as Dell.
Naturally, #MYCYBERSALE 2016 also sees the involvement of other online entities such as Lazada, GEMFIVE, 11street, and even ShopBack – consumers can use its services to earn cashback in cold hard cash rather than some form of credit, which is definitely better. Interestingly, MDEC also mentioned that this year’s #MYCYBERSALE will see the debut of two mobile wallet providers in Malaysia: MOLWallet and MPay Wallet.
#MYCYBERSALE 2016 will start from the 26th to the 30th of September 2016. If you’ve been wanting to get some stuff online, it’s worth waiting to see if there is any worthwhile discount when the online event kicks off. More information on #MYCYBERSALE 2016 can be found here.
