Back in May, HP has unveiled a set of new laptops and desktop PC as part of its Omen gaming series. As it turns out, they might on their way to Malaysia very soon as both products have quietly appeared on the front page of HP Malaysia’s online store.
Furthermore, they have also received their own mini sites and a quick check through Google cache showed that they have appeared on HP Malaysia’s website since at least a week ago. However, none of these mini sites have revealed the actual specifications and pricing for the new Omen laptop and desktop though.
That being said, there are still quite a number of indications regarding these new products within their HP Malaysia mini sites. For example, it is likely that only the 15.6-inch model will be released in Malaysia since the 17.3-inch model is absent from the HP Malaysia mini site as compared to HP US. Additionally, the reference to G-SYNC and 4K display are also missing from HP Malaysia’s mini site.
As for the Omen desktop, the Malaysian variant seems to be slightly different from those that is being offered by HP US as well. One clear example is that HP Malaysia’s mini site only lists AMD Radeon series as the sole graphics cards option for the desktop instead of both AMD Radeon and NVIDIA GeForce cards.
Furthermore, the Malaysian variant comes with up to 16GB RAM as compared to HP US which offers up to 32GB. Nevertheless, it seems that Malaysian customers will still be able to obtain the Omen desktop with liquid cooling setup based on HP Malaysia’s mini site.
With this, we believe that the launch of these new Omen products in Malaysia very soon. We’ll keep you posted once we receive further updates from HP Malaysia, so stay tuned.
