Celcom has quietly rolled out a limited beta test for its Celcom First app. At the moment, the app looks to be rather similar to its existing Xpax app; although it doesn’t quite share the same design language.
Like all apps from telcos, the Celcom First App allows users to check their current data usage and total outstanding bill. Of course, there should also be a billing option for customers to settle their phone bills remotely.
One interesting thing to note is that app appears to allow users to pay a phone bill without logging in. All the user has to do is enter a mobile number and choose a payment method. It’s not a bad alternative for those who are simply looking for a way to pay their Celcom First bill without all the extra features.
Aside from that, there is the usual assortment of promotions and information about Celcom’s other products and offerings. These links may not work properly; and we’ve seen several images simply fail to load. Which is rather expected for an early beta of the app. Nothing really works the first time.
Celcom itself is not offering any information about the First app; and were unable to provide details about this beta test. Those who are curious to see what it looks like can download the .apk from this link.
