Now that the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are official, and will be launched starting from 16 September 2016 in a handful of countries (excluding Malaysia of course), what about Apple’s latest iOS 10 update that was announced a couple of months ago? The update will be coming just next week on 13 September 2016.
This means that on 13 September 2016, all compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch will be able to upgrade to the latest iOS 10 that features a host of improved, as well as new features. The update will be available for free and like previous iOS updates, it should be available for download over the air. iOS 10 is supported on Apple devices including iPhone 5 and above, 5th gen iPod touch, iPad mini and above, iPad 2 and above and all iPad Air and iPad Pro variants.
One of the biggest things to look forward to in iOS 10 – the new Message app
Announced back in June 2016 at Apple’s WWDC 2016 event, iOS 10 is touted as “the mother of all releases”. It has a whole bunch of features to look forward to including improved Siri that can be integrated into third party apps so you can tell Siri to book you an Uber or reply a text on Whatsapp; a new Photos app that features a major overhaul to make it a lot more useful; a revamped Message app with a bunch of new features including effects on messages (invisible ink, bubble effects, etc.), rich links that displays YouTube videos or Apple Music tracks, “emojifiable” words; and more.
