One of the best (and perhaps the most wished) hardware upgrade of the new iPhone 7 was the increase in storage space. The new iPhone storage options are now 32GB, 128GB and a whopping 256GB – with no expandable storage option, the larger storage is great news for iPhone users.
Apple is extending this feature into the older iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, which now take the “mid-range” model in the company’s smartphone lineup. The base model for the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus will now be 32GB and tops out at 128GB, and these models will be available for sale globally.
A quick check on Apple Malaysia’s online web store confirms that the base iPhone 6s model will start at 32GB of storage for RM2,699, while the 128GB option is now priced at RM3,199 (down from RM3,699). Similarly, the iPhone 6s Plus 32GB is priced at RM3,199, with the 128GB variant seeing a similar RM500 price drop to RM3,699.
However, the 32GB variants are not yet available for purchase at Apple Malaysia’s website. No timeline has been revealed about their availability in Malaysia.
