Kaspersky Labs has announced that its Anti Targeted Attack Platform is now available in Malaysia. This enterprise grade solution allows businesses to monitor their networks and detect cyberattacks; no matter which stage the intrusion is at.
The announcement of this solution is due to the increasing number of cyberattacks within the country. Malaysia ranks 51 of the 200 countries served by Kaspersky in terms of the number of malware detections. The security company blocked some 1,037,725 web-borne threats in 2015; while it detected some 18,905,572 local malware incidents – putting the country in 67th place.
Kaspersky expects spending on detection and prevention to triple over the next few years, and is preparing to offer the solutions needed by companies before demand increases.
However, Kaspersky also stresses that defending against cyberattacks requires much more than just detecting malicious activity. Because of this, it has also launched the Kaspersky Security Intelligence Services. The SIS is designed to to meet the most frequent demands of large organizations, governmental agencies, ISPs and telcos.
Essentially, the additional platform extends the protection for customers by providing four critical services: threat intelligence, security training, security assessment, and threat investigation.
Security training and assessment are the basic employee training and penetration testing that many are already familiar with. While threat intelligence and investigation are slightly more sophisticated services. Essentially, this involves having Kaspersky’s security experts available to examine and analyse malware attempting to attack the customer, while also providing intelligence reports on the latest cyberthreats.
