While the tri-sensor 27-megapixels camera with 5-axis stabilization on the new Xperia XZ might be one of its main highlight, it is not the only smartphone that will be equipped with the camera. As it turns out, Sony has decided to equip it into the newly announced Xperia X Compact as well.
In general, this means that the Xperia X Compact might have slight advantage over the previously released Xperia X in terms of potential capabilities for their rear cameras. Additionally, the battery capacity of Xperia X Compact is also slightly larger than Xperia X at 2700mAh.
That being said, there are several components within Xperia X Compact that are not on par with Xperia X. For example, the 4.6-inch Triluminos display on Xperia X Compact has lower resolution than Xperia X at 720p and the same case also applies to its 5-megapixels front camera.
Neverthless, the Xperia X Compact still shares the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and 3GB RAM as per Xperia X. However, the Xperia X Compact’s internal storage option is limited to 32GB once it is made available in the market starting from this month.

No pricing information was revealed at Sony’s IFA 2016 media event today though, so we have to wait for further information from Sony Malaysia once it is ready to release the new smartphone in our market.
