Every launch needs a substantial bang and we believe that this is it for Acer at its on-going IFA 2016 media event: a gaming laptop with curved display. Yes, that’s right: Acer has managed to put curved display into a laptop…we’ll let that fact sink in for a bit.
Called the Predator 21X, this laptop with a gigantic 21-inch display is not something you can easily carry around. Nevertheless, it does carry plenty of powerful hardware such as the new 7th Gen Intel Core processor and dual GTX 1080 graphics – which explains why it need five fans to cool the laptop down, especially when these components can be overclocked.
Aside from the curved display, another interesting feature that Acer has included in the Predator 21X is a full-sized mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX switches alongside a removable numeric pad that can also become a touch pad. Not to forget, the laptop also comes with Tobii eye tracker which allows users to control certain games using their eyes as well as access to Windows Hello biometric-based security features.
The Predator 21X is expected to hit the market in the first quarter of 2017. No price was mentioned at the event but we are pretty sure it will not come easy for anyone’s pocket.
