It has come to our attention that Celcom will be launching a new prepaid plan called Xpax Turbo very soon. One of its main attraction is the Internet Burung Hantu scheme which provides free Internet access from 1am to 7am.
Unlike the original Internet Burung Hantu that came with Magic SIM in 2015 which provides unlimited amount of data, the one that comes with Xpax Turbo is capped at 10GB per month. In general, this is similar to what Celcom has implemented alongside the New Xpax M4gic SIM that was introduced earlier this year.
Another major difference that Celcom has implemented on the new Xpax Turbo as compared to the previously released New Xpax M4gic SIM is the new Turbo Internet Plans. Instead of having separate weekdays and weekend quota, users now receive a general quota alongside separate data allocation for Facebook and YouTube.
However, Celcom does retain the unlimited premium subscription of Yonder Music for Xpax Turbo. Here is the summary of the new Internet plans for Xpax Turbo:
Priced at RM 10, the starter pack for Xpax Turbo still provides 200MB worth of high-speed data and 500MB basic Internet together with the addition of the 10GB Internet Burung Hantu that we mentioned earlier. Pre-loaded with RM 6 worth of credit, its validity has now been expanded to 7 days.
Based on all the charts above, we also noticed that unlimited onnet call has been omitted from Xpax Turbo which seems to be focusing on Internet data. Additionally, Celcom also didn’t mention if Xpax Turbo’s subscribers are able to carry forward their unused data or else.
Even though Celcom will only roll out Xpax Turbo later this week, almost all the essentual information regarding it has made their way to Internet. We don’t think there will be much surprises from Celcom on 1 September but we’ll keep you posted, nevertheless.
