As expected, Apple will be hosting an event to announce new devices, possibly the iPhone 7 and updated Apple Watches. The Cupertino company has sent out invitations for its event happening on 7 September 2016.
The invitation did not say what products the company would be launching, all it shows are some colourful circles along with a text that says “See you on the 7th”. However, it is believed that they will be announcing the iPhone 7, and maybe an updated Apple Watch.

According to all the rumours and leaks we’ve seen so far, the iPhone 7 will look similar to the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s. The only differences would be a change of antenna lines, missing headphone jack, and maybe an upgraded camera. Apple is also expected to finally drop 16GB storage option and offer basic iPhone devices with 32GB of internal storage.
As for the Apple Watch, it’s been two years since the Apple Watch has been announced and a year and a half since it was first released, it’s about time Apple gave it an upgrade. We’ve been seeing some rumours about the next Apple watch, including upgraded internals, better waterproofing and such. Earlier reports says that Apple will also include cellular support, but latest report says that Apple will drop that but will include GPS on the Apple Watch 2.
For those of you who want to get the news first, the event will be happening on 7 September 2016 at 10am PT; that’s 1am on 8 September 2016 for us, so do tune in for the latest updates.
