Remember the Microsoft Word Flow keyboard app for iOS that was released a couple of months ago? It looks like Microsoft has given the app a big update, bringing a new search feature that lets you easily and quickly find GIFs, emojis and such.
With the new search interface, you can type in things like “wait for it”, and you will get all the relevant GIFs, images, emojis, videos and such. The new feature will also recommend similar searches like “hold on”, “impatient”. The search feature, as expected, uses Bing search results. When you select the result you want, you can drop it into a message, similar Google’s Gboard keyboard for iOS.
In addition to that, the update also brings 3D Touch support to Word Flow app. Similar to the default keyboard by Apple on iOS 10; just deep press and you can move the cursor around just by swiping your finger on the keyboard.
Other updates include the ability to easily find contacts (you will need to grant the app access to your contacts of course), accuracy improvements, and support for iOS Text Replacement function.
What makes Microsoft Word Flow keyboard app for iPhone stand out is that it is built for one-hand use. You can shift the keyboard to arc at one corner, so all the keys are within the reach of your thumb. Just swipe around with your thumb similar to Swype or SwiftKey keyboard, and Word Flow will automatically decipher what you are trying to type, complete with word suggestions, auto correct and emojis.
