Back when Asus Malaysia officially launched the ZenFone 3 series in Malaysia earlier this month, the company mentioned that all the devices in the lineup will be available in Malaysia by the end of August 2016. However, it appears the availability of these device are delayed, which include the flagship ZenFone 3 Deluxe, the sizeable ZenFone 3 Ultra, as well as the budget-oriented ZenFone 3 Max and Laser.
Asus Malaysia revealed this delay when curious consumers enquired with the company on its Facebook page. When asked about the availability of the ZenFone 3 Deluxe in Malaysia, Asus Malaysia said that it “will be available at end of September.” The ZenFone 3 Ultra, on the other hand, “is expected to be available in September” as well. As for the ZenFone 3 Max and ZenFone 3 Laser, both devices are “expected to be released in between October to December,” Asus Malaysia added.
Even though the Malaysian release of these four devices have been delayed, their retail prices have already been revealed at Asus Malaysia’ Zenvolution event earlier this month. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is priced from RM2,599 to RM3,299, while the ZenFone 3 Ultra goes for RM2,599. For those on a tighter budget, there’s the ZenFone 3 Laser and Max, which retail at RM999 and RM799 respectively.
It’s worth noting that despite the delay of these ZenFone 3 devices, the standard ZenFone 3 is already on sale in Malaysia. The 5.2-inch model retails at RM1,499, while the bigger 5.5-inch variant goes for RM1,699. Hopefully, the Malaysian release of the other ZenFone 3 devices won’t be delayed any further.
