First launched at its New York media event three months ago, the new Acer Predator 17 X gaming laptop is now available in Malaysia. Accompanying the new gaming laptop is the equally new and highly compact Predator G1 gaming desktop.

In general, these new Predator products arrived in Malaysia with almost identical specifications from the New York launch event. For example, the Predator 17 X comes standard with Core i7-6820HK processor and desktop-grade GTX 980 8GB GPU. For those who are wondering, Predator 17 X with GTX 10-series GPU will be making their way into Malaysia later in the year though.

Additionally, the Malaysian unit is also equipped with 17.3-inch IPS full HD (1920 x 1080) display that support G-Sync technology alongside 32GB DDR4 RAM, 256GB PCIe Gen3x4 solid state drive, 1TB 7200rpm hard drive. The laptop is also equipped with Killer DoubleShot Pro network setup, 88Whr 8-cell battery, and 230W power supply.

As for the Predator G1 desktop, it is equipped with Intel Core i7-6700 prcoessor, 16GB DDR4 RAM, GeForce GTX 1080 8GB, 128GB M.2 solid state drive, and 2TB SATA hard drive. Acer Malaysia has also included Predator Mechanical Keyboard and Gaming Mouse alongside for each purchase of Predator G1 desktop although customers do need to purchase a monitor separately.

Meanwhile, 10 random owners of Predator G1 desktop will also receive a limited edition custom made luggage bag – only 1,000 units existed all over the world – for their machine As for the pricing of these new Predator gaming machines, the Predator 17 X carries a price tag of RM 12,999 while the Predator G1 costs RM 10,999.
