As we approach closer to Sony’s PlayStation event on the 7th of September, more leaks of the company’s refreshed gaming console have surfaced. This time around, we got an even closer look at the new and slimmer PlayStation 4; there’s even a video of the console booting up.
This latest image came from Eurogamer, which has also posted a video of the slim PlayStation 4 booting up. However, “upon taking legal advice,” the site has since taken down the video. Naturally, as is the case with anything on the internet, the video has been reuploaded by another party.
Aside from the new design and slimmer appearance, it seems this new version of the PlayStation 4 is similar to the current model – in terms of functionality, that is. Eurogamer even went as far as to say that the slimmer PlayStation 4 is confirmed; seeing how the site even has its own picture of the console, we’re inclined to believe so as well.
That being said, this is still a console that Sony itself has not announced yet, so there is a chance the PS4 pictured isn’t the final, finished product, although this is likely not to be the case. Regardless, we will learn more about this slimmer PlayStation 4 – along with the much anticipated PlayStation Neo – come 7th September 2016.
