Those of you still playing Pokemon Go may be interested to know that a new update has dropped; and brings with it a new Gym leader appraisal feature. In a nutshell, it allows players to get an idea of their Pokemon’s hidden stats without Niantic actually revealing what they are.
All Pokemon have three hidden statistics that determine its abilities in battle. Stamina is the most obvious, as it is directly tied to the HP of a Pokemon; while Attack and Defence contribute to a Pokemon’s Combat Power or CP. Not all Pokemon are born the same; and will have a wide range of Attack, Defence, and Stamina values.
This most recent update will inform players of whether their chosen Pokemon have adequate stats for battles; and will provide an idea of which role best suits that particular Pokemon.
Unfortunately, the information is deliberately vague. No real values are provided; and the game only tells players whether the Pokemon has average or good stats. This may not be the kind of data that hardcore players are looking for; but it is certainly a lot more accessible than using data mining apps to directly extract the raw statistics.
