MSI seems to be readying a rather special graphics card to celebrate its 30th anniversary. This “special” graphics card was spotted in Germany, during the ongoing Gamescom event. Despite MSI not giving it an official name yet, sources are already expecting the graphics card to be called the GTX 1080 30th Anniversary Edition.
What makes the MSI GTX 1080 30th Anniversary Edition graphics card special is the fact that it comes with a pre-installed EK water block out of the box. The water block in itself is already unique as it comes equipped with LED lighting as well. Meanwhile, the rest of the liquid-cooled graphics card is covered in a sleek matte black finish that is surrounded by metallic accents found on top of the water block.
Aside from a few pictures of the MSI GTX 1080 30th Anniversary Edition graphics card, there aren’t any specific details given. What we do know however, is that this graphics card should be operating at temperatures well blow 50°C mark; this will allow for better overclocking headroom for those wanting to reap out every single MHz of performance of the Pascal GP104-400 GPU.
According to Guru3D, MSI will be looking into releasing its GTX 1080 30th Anniversary Edition graphics card by September.
