Samsung Malaysia are continuing the expansion of their fitness wearables through the release of two new fitness-tracking products: the Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX. First announced back in June, these new generation of wearables are said able to provide more accurate data tracking and offers a couple of new features for the fitness crowd.
A successor to the Gear Fit, the Gear Fit2 is a fitness band that features embedded GPS and Heart Rate Monitor sensors for accurate data tracking. A new Auto Activity Tracking feature intelligently activates the sports band when the wearer starts their physical activity, like running, walking. cycling, etc.
The Gear Fit2 is fitted with a Super AMOLED curved display with a high-resolution touchscreen for not only monitoring fitness but also responding to notifications from your smartphone. Fitness data is easily transferred between S Health and other fitness apps and there’s also a new ‘Step Challenges’ feature for competition among friends.
The Gear Fit2 is available in Blue, Dark Grey and Pink colour options.
Gear IconX
The Gear IconX are cordless earbuds that don’t just provide music for your workout but also track it. The earbuds are able to track distance, speed, duration, heart rate and even calories burned, all through effortless pairing with the S Health app.
Other than playing music wirelessly, the Gear IconX earbuds even have a Voice Guide feature that provides users with instant voice feedback based on their workout. Swipe and tap control on the earbuds also make the music listening experience a breeze.
The Gear IconX will come with three different eartip and wingtip sizes to accommodate for different sized ears and is available in Blue, Dark Grey and Pink colour variants.
The Samsung Gear Fit2 and Gear IconX are available now with both devices priced similarly at RM699 each.
