In our early round up of custom GTX 1060 cards last month, we have mentioned that ZOTAC‘s compact sized GTX 1060 Mini would be released with two VRAM options: 6GB and 3GB. At that time though, NVIDIA has yet to officially confirmed the existence of GTX 1060 3GB and rumors everywhere were pointing out how the card might be renamed to GTX 1050 instead.
However, that changed yesterday as NVIDIA has quietly unveiled the new variant at its official website. Apt enough, ZOTAC Malaysia now has confirmed that the GTX 1060 Mini 3GB card from the company will be making its way to our market very soon.
Similar to the 6GB variant, the 3GB card also carries a single 90mm together with a sunflower shaped aluminum heatsink that sits on top of the card’s GPU. At the same time, the specifications for the GTX 1060 Mini 3GB is also identical to NVIDIA’s stock design.
Price-wise, the GTX 1060 3GB will be made available at RM 949 (that’s RM 270 less than the 6GB version) and is covered by 5-years warranty. For those who are interested to get their hands on this card, expect to see the card at retailers early next week.
