Meizu has just announced its first smartwatch – the Meizu Mix. It looks like a typical analogue smartwatch, but is equipped with smart features inside like activity tracker, notifications and more.
First up, the display of the Meizu Mix measures at 42mm in diameter. It is made out of sapphire glass, while the frame is made with 316L stainless steel. There are two colour options – gunmetal black and silver, with three different straps to pick from – denim, leather and steel.
Specification wise, the Meizu Mix connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth 4.0. While the 270mAh built-in battery may sound very small, the Meizu Mix can last up to about 240 days thanks to the use of an analogue watch face. On the inside, there’s a three-axis gyroscope, accelerometer, and a magnetic sensor.
Like most smartwatches today, the wearable will make use of the gyroscope and accelerometer to track wearer’s movements. The user will then be able to track their progress via a smartphone app. According to the product pictures, you can track your steps and calories, and even share with and challenge your friends to do better.
The Meizu Mix is priced at 999 Yuan (RM603) for the nylon strap option, 1299 Yuan (RM785) for leather strap, and 1499 Yuan (RM905) for the stainless steel strap.
