About two months ago, KFC India launched its “Watt a Box”, a box that stores your meal that doubles as a power bank and now, it’s Pizza Hut’s turn for creative boxes. The company recently launched a pizza box that doubles as a fully functioning turntable.
The pizza box is the “world’s first playable DJ pizza box” and has been created by Pizza Hut in the UK along with printed electronics expert, Novalia. The box runs on batteries, and connects to a computer or smartphone via Bluetooth to use with compatible DJ software. Once connected, you can scratch, rewind, control pitch and crossfade right on the box itself.
Sadly though, as mentioned before, it is only available in Pizza Hut in the UK – the company only has five to give away. For those who are interested, you may check out Pizza Hut UK’s Twitter to find out more about its availability.
This is not the first of its kind from Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut in Hong Kong also launched a limited edition box that converts into a projector for smartphones. Other companies with similar products include KFC’s box that doubles as a power bank, McDonald Sweden’s Happy Meal box that doubles as a VR viewer, and finally, Coca Cola’s carton box that turns into a VR headset.
